Fortress Naarden : Aerial photo of the fortress and Fort Ronduit, around 1920.
Naarden is a unique fortress because of the double ring of walls and moats, and because the fortress is still largely intact. Visible is the characteristic star shape of the fortress with her 6 bastions. Also both original entrances, the here already demolished Amsterdam Gate and the Utrecht Gate, are visible. To the left along the former Zuydersea the Fort Ronduit.
